Croc Encounters offers unique and exciting conservation-oriented educational programs for groups of any size or age group. All of our programs include live animals and are interactive and hands-on.

We can focus on a variety of themes to engage and excite or tailor a specific program to meet the interests of your group. With years of combined classroom experience, our instructors are top-notch. They engage the audience, making for an interactive, exciting learning experience.

All programs are designed to be age-appropriate and to assist with Sunshine State Standards. Our philosophy is that safety is number one and we have a perfect track record. Croc Encounters is insured and is a registered vendor with the surrounding counties.

SCHOOL GROUPS

A Croc Encounters program at your school is guaranteed to be an exciting and unforgettable experience for all. Our programs start at $225. Travel fees and other fees apply. Contact us for a quote. All programs, regardless of the theme, are:

  • 45-60 minutes in length
  • Include up to 10 live animals including snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises and alligators.
  • Have 1-2 engaging instructors
  • Ideally designed for audiences of 30

The following themes can be geared towards a basic audience (pre-K-5th),
an intermediate audience (6th-8th) or an advanced audience (9th and above).

amazing reptiles

Amazing Reptiles: Through millions of years of adaptation, the reptiles that occupy our planet today are excellent survivors. In this program we start with the basics, learning just what animals are reptiles and why we classify them that way.

We then apply this understanding to how reptiles are adapted to live in the variety of habitats that they occupy. The audience will discover why crocodilians survived the mass extinction that killed the dinosaurs and how snakes get along with out any arms or legs. In this program we attempt to turn fear and misunderstanding of the scaly and slithery into appreciation and respect.

rainforest reptiles

Rainforest Reptiles: Covering less than 2% of the Earth’s surface, rainforests are home to 50% of all life on the planet! In humid tropical rainforests, reptile life abounds.

Journey with us from the top of the canopy to the forest floor and encounter the strange and exotic reptiles that call these forests home.

native florida

Native Florida: What has 80 teeth, powerful jaws and carries her young around in her mouth? Alligators of course! Some of the most amazing reptiles in the world are in our own backyards.

Did you know that Florida is the only place in the world where you can find alligators and crocodiles living side by side? In this program we explore the native and exotic reptiles with which we share our state.

wetland wonders

Wetland Wonders: Wetlands are among the worlds most threatened habitats, largely because of the impact of people. Many reptiles including American Alligators rely on these fragile habitats.

In this program learn what a wetland is and why stinky swamps and mucky marshes are important not only to wildlife, but to us humans.

amazing australia

Amazing Australia: Both a country and a continent the land of OZ is home to some of the most unique animals on the plant. In the land down under reptiles thrive. Learn about this amazing place and meet some of the curious critters that call Australia home.

Reptile Evolution & Crocodilian Biology: Virtually unchanged for the past 250 million years, crocodilians are living fossils. Learn how through the course of evolution, reptiles have adapted to live in a variety of habitats. In this program we will focus on the processes that have resulted in the amazing adaptations that the reptiles of today possess.
